What a very well kitted out and decorated little house in the perfect location. Mountains, forests, rivers and the embrace of wild nature. Most grateful even for the flash floods & gales force winds!

George, Sonny & x,

Our fourth visit to this lovely cottage. We were lucky to stay for 2 weeks here and enjoy excellent weather. We re3commend the pizzas at Glaslyn, Beddgelert. We've been impressed with the bus services here. We walked from the cottage to Betws y Coed along the slate trail and bussed it back. A super walk. We plan to be back next year if not sooner. Thank you Bev & Nige!

Martin and Ken,

Returning for our 2nd visit at Christmas, we had another great time in this cottage that we love. It has everything we need, perfect location and the best log fire. We will be back again to enjoy the walks this place has to offer. Thanks for a fab place to stay.

Rich, Laura, Poppy and Patch,

We had a great half term break with the boys. Lots of walking from the door which was perfect for us. The cottage was perfect for us and we enjoyed relaxing in front of the fire in the evening after long walks.

Ria, Tom, Henry and Zac Agass,

We have enjoyed our week in this lovely, clean, spacious cottage which provided us thoughtfully with all the facilities we needed. We had mixed weather and enjoyed a variety of high and low level walks. The cottage was a good central location for exploring Snowdonia. Thank you.

Janet and Derek Capper,

Wonderful location and cottage. We enjoyed touring Snowdonia from this central location; the lovely walks; sights just outside the door. The evening fires were so welcome. With thanks.

Clare and Carlo,

Fab cottage in a perfect location for walks straight out of the door. Beer and views at Plas y Brenin highly recommended and scones at Cafe Siabod. We will return in 2023. Thank you.

Ian and Dawn Patterson,

Amazing cottage and a beautiful location. The best of the best! We climbed Snowdon twice and we were living in the middle of the mountains! We finished the puzzle but there was a piece missing. Anyway, this was sooo nice! I recommend and we loved it! Diolch! Thanks!

Damodhar, Vibha, Varsha and Rohini,

Fabulous week of walking and scrambling in the local area, plus some surfing at Adventure Parc and a trip to the Great Orme. Wonderful cottage - cool in the heat! Loved the Welsh cakes. Diolch!

Helen, Andy, Thomas and Reuben,

We loved the very comfortable and beautifully restored cottage and appreciated the guidebooks, games, logs and coffee and biscuits. Very mixed weather - lots of rain, so it was good to have such a pleasant and warm place to return to. Did lots of forest/waterfall walks, plus trips to Anglesey (boat trip to Puffin Island), Portmeirion, Beddgelert and the amazing beaches of the Llyn Peninsula. We tried and failed to get in to the Tyn y Coed (no answer to phone or email and when we tried turning up they said they didn't do walk-ins) but loved Olif - the tapas bar in Betws y Coed (highly recommended).

Caroline, David, Miranda and Authur Owen,

Wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage. Made a lot of nice walks. Thanks!

Paul, Birgit, Bram & Vera,

Fantastic week of walking in glorious weather. The cottage is ideally situated for Snowdon, the Carneddau and the Glyders.

Rob & Jill,

Our third visit to this lovely cottage. Some good walks done. Alpine Coffee Shop in Betws y Coed still the best place for coffee.

Stephen, Suzze & Truffan,

Great cottage and location. We managed a mix of walks including Snowdon using the S1 pick up just out front. The kids enjoyed Zip world so something for all the family. We will be back.

Kirsten, Simon, Ethan & Ava,

The cottage was lovely and a perfect base for some good quality fresh air.

Wayne,

Thank you for a lovely stay at Carreg Cottage. It had everything we needed and was so quiet and perfect location for walks and being outdoors, we had a great time.

Laura amd Rich,

We have had such a lovely stay here. The cottage was perfect, so clean and the the facilities we needed. Very spacious and with lovely attention to detail which really made a difference. Thankyou. It is a fantastic location for walking, running and mountain views whilst being quiet and tranquil. We loved it! The log fire was amazing and so welcome after being out in the cold. The best Christmas holiday!

Laura & Rich, Poppy & Patch,

What an amazing cottage, perfect position to explore the whole of Snowdonia. The cottage exceeded our expectations, it had everything needed for a truly relaxing break. It’s was the cleanest cottage I have ever stayed in and we slept in the comfiest beds!
The views were beautiful, especially of Moel Siabod which we decided to climb. Luckily it was a beautiful clear day. We also climbed Snowdon, swam in the waterfalls on the Wakin Path and hiked in the Ogwen Valley. We had a fantastic holiday and hope to be back soon.

Louise,

Another lovely week here. We were very fortunate with the weather. We did 3 "big" mountain walks. Yr Aran especially recommended. We finally reached Crimpiau too - equally recommended. Ice cream is still excellent in Beddgelert but we didn't bother with the ice cream at Llanberis. Tyn y Coed is as friendly as ever. Bodnant Garden is excellent and Ffin y Parc gallery/coffe shop is well worth a visit.

Stephen, Suzze & Truffan,

We had a wonderful time (the weather played ball). Your cottage was excellent and really well set up for our week of climbing we’d love to stay again!

Chris,

We really enjoyed our stay at Carreg Cottage. We found it to be a very spacious and comfortable cottage in a lovely area. I'm sure we will want to stay there again the next time we visit Snowdonia.

Mike & Susan,

We had a lovely week at this cottage. It is cheerful light and modern inside with plenty of room for the 4 of us. Our son was working locally (literally living 2 doors away!) so it was an ideal location for us. The views from the cottage itself are gorgeous and it was never very far away for us to drive to the mountains, lakes and Anglesey. We were left with a lovely hamper on our arrival and I would advise other holiday makers to bring all the food they need as supermarkets are few and far between involving quite a drive. Loads of kitchen space to store everything and a good sized fridge (cant remember about freezer..Im sure there is one). All in all I would deffinately recommend Llugwy Terrace and it will be our go to place should we return to Capel Curig.

Claire KEAST,

My fiancée, our dog and I had a wonderful week here. The cottage is cosy and very well equipped. The owners have thought of everything. Carreg Cottage is perfectly situated for walking, shopping and visiting interesting places (of which there are many). The local pub, the Tyn-Y-Coed is very friendly and well worth a visit.

Stephen Drew,

Carreg is a lovely cottage in a superb location.
We did many walks including Snowdon, where it snowed in May!
Worth noting Pen y Pas car park needs prebooking.
Views from the cottage are stunning.
Covid meant we self catered and the facilities are excellent for this.
Doug and Debbie Holloway

Doug,

Fantastic cottage, far exceeded expectations. Spacious, well-designed and equipped. A great location too. Perfect!

Colin, Anne, Nick and Lola,

2 great days walking. Woodland walks near Siabod and Beddgelert. Fantastic, bright, clean cottage and a great stay. Thanks. Will be back!

Mick, Renu, Siobhan and Phil,

We have had a super week. Lots of good walks and castles. Cottage excellent.

Lily, Granny, Aunty and Uncle,

Very well thought out cottage, had everything we needed, loads of space! Excellent cottage folder, felt like you had really taken care of it all, thanks. Hope to return again next year.

Andy, Sophie, Toby amd Amelie,

Great cottage - very enjoyable stay. Mixed weather - got out in spite of the weather and enjoyed the local pub. Would happily recommend/return.

Liam, Chris, Pete,

Comfy cottage with very good lighting. Mixed weather but one advantage of the rain was that rivers and waterfalls looked spectacular! Swallow Falls most dramatic. Would recommend the (free) Slate Museum.

Dave and Maggie,

We loved our time at your cottage. So peaceful. Blessed with blue skies. Thank you.

Dizzy & Ali,

A gorgeous bright and very clean cottage which was fantastic. Great location and lots to do with children. We conquered Snowdon, explore Green Wood Forest Park and enjoyed outstanding waterfalls. We are sad to go. Thank you for great memories. P.S> Excellent property folder!

The Meredith family,

A beautiful bright and clean cottage in a great location to explore the mountains. A great experience. We will be back. Thank you.

The Fords,

Wonderful cottage from which to explore North Wales - couldn't have been more comfortable and well located. Thankyou.

Juliette, Will, Edward & Henry,

This was our 2nd time. We love this cottage mad I am sure we will return. Wales is in our hearts. The walking is absolutely fantastic - we walked 6 days straight.

Martin, Claudia, Oliver & James,

Fantastic place, a real home from home and so well located to get out and about. Would highly recommend a trip to Beaumaris castle and Puffin Island, Llandudno and the Great Orme.

Steve and Hark,

Beautifully finished house. Wonderful walks and views. Had a wonderful holiday with my dear friends once again.

Jennifer,

Lovely cottage, loved the large kitchen and comfy living room. Lovely weather, enjoyed sunset over Snowdon from the bar at Plas y Brenin. Also went up on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Magic.

Liz and Bill,

Loved our second visit even more than our first! Ascended Snowdon (Watkin path, descended Llanberis) this time. Looking forward to next year!

Peter and Val,

Beautiful cottage, thoughtfully modernised, comfortable and well equipped. So well located.

Kevin and Angela,

Relaxing, chilled, peaceful. Caius (8 years old) said "when can we come again?". Well equipped, beautiful, a little bit of heaven. Perfect for going to lots of places.

Julie and Caius,

Beautiful location. Wonderful cottage. Thank you. Definitely recommend.

Excellent accommodation. Well equipped. Brilliant location for walking.

James,

Great central location for all major climbs and walks. The house is a great base and well equipped. everything sorted perfectly. AAlso, as someone else has said. very "tardis" like.

Thompsons,

A short but lovely stay. Ideal place to walk straight from the doorway and great to have a cafe to have breakfast in and a choice of pubs to eat in the evenings.

Matt and Jacqui May with Blake the spaniel,

What a fab week. Weather good. Cottage spotlessly clean, well laid out, and everything we needed. Parking a bit of a pain at first then we just parked on the lane. We did Crimpiau, Aber falls, walked around Llyn Idwal (whilst the boys climbed ropes), Newborough beach on Anglesey - absolutely gorgeous & recommended! Zip World Velocity & finished with Moel Siabod - we will definitely return. Thanks.

Jo, Mark, Adam & Amelia & Dottie the cocka-poo,

Thank you for a wonderful weekend! Despite the terrible weather we still managed to have a great time playing games around the log fire. What a beautiful place to live and everything in the cottage was furnished to such a high standard. We will be back to do some proper walking soon I'm sure. Thanks.

Alice, Phil, Luke & Srah,

Best time ever, great memories, cottage is perfect, can't fault. Don't change a thing. A big thankyou

Martin and Ken,

The cottage was finished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. It was a very relaxing base which was just as well as it rained the whole time we were here. We did get blocked in by another car but that aside a great place and very enjoyable. Thank you.

Nika and Andrew,

we have really, really enjoyed your amazing cottage.. just fabulous.. a real gem

Emma,

A lovely New Year break, ideal location for walking and very little rain.
Your cottage is lovely and has had everything we needed to unwind.

Jo and Adam,

What a joy it was to find this cottage - we've been coming to Capel Curig for many years and our usual cottage is no longer available so to find Carreg Cottage and in such a great position was a godsend! The cottage is beautifully restored and so well equipped. Despite the weather I did a few of my favourites - Moel Siabod and Snowdon. I will certainly be back to relive all the happy years I had walking and climbing with my husband. Many thanks.

Jackie and Abbi,

Lovely week away for half term. Very cosy and comfy cottage. Loved the kitchen and fabulous shower. Utility and washer very handy for the end of the day.
Managed Moel Siabod & Tryfan and did all the MTB trails at Penmachno.
Will definitely recommend to others and hope to return one day.

Carol & Nick, Camerron & Joshua,

Lovely modern cottage, well thought out and very well equipped. The location is really good and it's so nice having walks from the cottage.
Really good choice of vegetarian meals at Tyn y Coed.
Moel Siabod cafe is good and there are great walks from there - ask them for route descriptions.
Alpine cage in Betws y Coed has really good food and is an interesting place.

Gillian and Brian,

Very nice cottage; lovely stay. Recommend Moel Siabod café for tea and cakes.

Natasha, Simon and Susan,

Thanks for a lovely stay. Very relaxing as it can be with two young children but we have enjoyed ourselves and and seem to have fitted so much in.
Thanks

Andrew and Karen & grand children,

It was a pleasure to stay here in this very nice and modern cottage. The area is beautiful, we have enjoyed our walks and trips around here.
Thanks

Brian, Maaike, Korneel & Pippa,

Fantastic cottage. Well equipped and very welcoming.
Love the area and mum and I have been very happy here.

Linda and Marjorie,

Fantastic cottage in a stunning setting. We have all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - the cracking weather was also a bonus. Going home with very tired legs after days of walking, cycling, and running but we would love to return.
Many thanks.

Andy & Helen, Steve & Carol,

The first thing that struck me was the very high standard of finish the cottage has undergone. Secondly was the sense of space, it really is tardis like. I already know the area well and it is very well located for walking, outdoor pursuits and my passion - photography. I would certainly rent the cottage again. Negatives? TBH can't think of any!

Ian, Rita and Margaret,

The beautifully restored cottage was a delight to return to after a day in the hills. We appreciate having a good broadband signal and made the most of 'catch-up' TV in the evenings. Three exhilarating days scrambling on Tryfan, Cnicht and a ridge walk between Rhyd Ddu and Beddgelert with welcome sunshine. Enjoying doing walks in the walks book around Capel Curig and saw 2 dippers. Recommend Alpine café in Betws y Coed.

Many thanks Bev & Nige for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Andy & Lynn,

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is really nice and well laid out. We enjoyed some good days out including walking the valley to lake Ogwen, climbing Snowdon, visiting Porthmadog (Big Rock café was nice), a local walk to Llyn Crafnant and Great Orme at Llandudno. Also enjoyed our evenings in front of the log burner and at the Bryn Tyrch pub. Thankyou.

Steve, Sue, Jane & Becky,

Really well laid out cottage. We particularly liked the boot room for when we returned from wet and muddy walks! Excellent location for all we wanted to do - from Zipworld to Snowdon. The [property] folder was very useful too. We tried Bryn Tyrch, which was brilliant, used the buses from outside the front door and sampled a couple of local walks. Would definitely recommend.

Paul, Anna, Zach, Oscar,
