North Wales has become a great adventure centre for many thrilling activities. Here are some of the adventures you can experience whilst staying at Carreg Cottage.
Climbing
North Wales is world renowned for its mountaineering and rock climbing. The 1953 Everest team, with Hillary and Tenzing, trained in the Snowdonia mountains.
For experienced climbers there is a wealth of options to choose - from multi-pitch mountaineering routes to hard core sports climbs on the Great Orme.
If you have no experience but want to have a go, Plas Y Brenin, The National Outdoor Centre, just a short walk from the cottage, offers a wide range of experiences and taster sessions. Plas y Brenin National Outdoor Centre
Indoor Climbing Walls
Indoor climbing is fun and safe for all ages and levels of experience. These are the closest centres
- The National Outdoor Centre, Plas Y Brenin. The centre has a small indoor climbing which is open to the public
- The Beacon Climbing Centre. Located on the Llanberis side of Caernarfon. About 30 minutes drive from Carreg Cottage.
